April Round Up

v1.9 and new cars

On April 19th the long awaited 1.9 update was brought to Assetto Corsa Competizione together with the 3 2023 models of GT3 cars. The Porsche 992 GT3 R is an entirely new car, just as the Ferrari 296 GT3, while the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo 2 brings a huge upgrade to its predecessor.

The Version 1.9 of ACC features new suspension physics and a new tyre model, making the driving style and tyre management even more important.

RRVLN Campaign

On April 15th we started our first championship with the KTM X-Bow GTX on RaceRoom. The RRVLN Series has been around for a long time as one of the biggest championships of R3E.

Our first race (Race 4 of the championship) was a rollercoaster. Leading into the second hour and having a good fight with the other GTX, Marvin Reisenhauer unfortunately dropped to P5 overall after a spin. However we are in the lead of the GTX class in the standings and are looking forward to the season finale on May 13th.

Simracing Academy GT3 success

After the 1.9 update and the switch to the 992 Gen Porsche we have had a great run in the SRA GT3 Championship (formerly European Racing Series).

A 7th place at Round 3 in Monza, a 12th position at Imola and P6 and P5 in the Sprint and Main race at Bathurst put us into 10th in the standings after 5 races!

Last lap Podium at the 4h NBR

First time we were on track in the MARK Endurance Cup after becoming Vize Champions in the 2022 season, and a great opportunity to get back into the KTM. A promising race start put us into the lead, after a fight with a Camaro GT4 we were running in 2nd before retaking the lead just before the first pit stop.

After Marvin handed the car over to Lars Wintermantel, we encountered a technical issue with the force feedback but were able to keep the lead.

Due to contact with a GT3 car we dropped to 5th but battled our way back up to take the last step on the podium in the last corner of the last lap.
